PARIS (TVBS News) — Taiwanese golfer Hsu Wei-ling (徐薇淩) improved her standing in the Olympic Games Paris 2024 on Thursday (Aug. 8), shooting a 69 in the second round. Her total score of 143, one under par, moved her from the 30th to the 14th place.

Hsu, who tied for 15th in the Tokyo Olympics, aims for a breakthrough in Paris. Her consistent performance has heightened expectations among her supporters and the golfing community.

Meanwhile, another golfer, Chien Pei-yun (錢珮芸), made her Olympic debut with a fluctuating first-round score of 71. She currently sits in 29th place with a total score of 147. Despite the ups and downs, her participation marks a significant milestone for Taiwanese golf.

Swiss golfer Morgane Metraux led the second round with an impressive 66, bringing her total to 136. She currently holds the top spot as the competition progresses.

Golf enthusiasts eagerly await the next rounds to see if Hsu can continue her climb and if Chien can stabilize her performance. The unfolding drama promises to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
