TAIPEI (TVBS News) — South Korean singer ROCKY captivated his devoted followers ahead of his highly anticipated "Wish Upon" concert in Taipei on Friday (May 2), bringing fellow Korean artist JOOSIQ as the opening act. At a media briefing before the performance, ROCKY expressed enthusiasm about connecting with his fan base, known affectionately as "HAMO," while revealing his keen interest in sampling Taiwan's renowned beef noodle soup, a local culinary staple.

The K-pop artist disclosed that his former group ASTRO is organizing a reunion concert in June, confirming he had received and accepted an invitation to participate. The Taipei concert will also feature performances by Taiwanese boy groups F.F.O. and ARKis, both rising stars from the popular talent competition "Atom Boyz II" (原子少年2). When asked about advice for these emerging artists, ROCKY humbly declined to offer specific guidance but stressed that developing strong technical abilities remains essential for aspiring vocalists.

Making his debut visit to Taiwan, JOOSIQ spent the previous day touring the iconic Taipei 101 (台北101) skyscraper, once the world's tallest building. The Korean singer-songwriter complimented both the panoramic nighttime vistas and the luxury shopping complex, noting he had already sampled traditional beef noodles and was eager to try bubble tea following his performance. Regarding his creative process, JOOSIQ revealed that workout sessions frequently spark his musical inspiration, prompting him to record ideas mid-exercise, and expressed aspirations to return for his own headlining concert in Taiwan in the future. ★
