TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Rakuten Monkeys (樂天桃猿) announced on Monday (Sept. 8) that HWASA, a member of the top South Korean girl group MAMAMOO, will perform at the Taipei Dome (台北大巨蛋) on Sept. 14. The performance will follow the baseball game, capping off the team's "SINGDOME Music Radio" (SINGDOME音樂電台) theme days from Sept. 12 to 14.
The Monkeys will host a series of events featuring prominent artists from Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. On Sept. 12, Golden Melody Award winner Nicky Lee (李玖哲) and The Chairs (椅子樂團) will serenade fans with a romantic music night. The second day will see Alan Ko (柯有倫) energize the halftime, followed by a post-game concert with Kento Nakajima, Marz23, and ZICO. ZICO will also throw the first pitch on Sept. 13, adding flair to the festivities.
A Monkeys press release highlighted Kento Nakajima's unique stage charisma and soulful voice, which have captivated countless fans. His recent performance of 'Fatal,' the theme song for the second season of the anime 'Oshi no Ko,' has sparked significant discussion. The final post-game concert on Sept. 14 will feature OSN (高爾宣) and HWASA, providing a grand finale to the "SINGDOME Music Radio" theme days. On the one hand, HWASA, known for chart-topping hits like 'Maria' and 'twit,' will captivate the Taipei Dome audience with her distinctive voice and stage presence, promising an electrifying night.
