TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The three-day Sustainable Taiwan Expo 2025 (TASS2025亞洲永續供應暨循環經濟會展) launched on Thursday (Nov. 5) at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (高雄展覽館). The expo connects five major industries: energy, manufacturing, technology, environment, and construction. Organizers expect hundreds of domestic and international exhibitors and professional buyers to attend, showcasing the growing importance of sustainable practices in the region.
Intercon Convention Management (茵康國際) highlighted the event's success over six years, noting that it has generated nearly NT$2.5 billion in business opportunities over the past five years. This year's expo aims to continue this trend by fostering partnerships and collaborations among industry leaders and innovators.
The organizers invited several large enterprises, including Formosa Plastics (台塑), Taiwan Power Company (台電), Everlight Chemical (台灣永光化學), Grand Pacific Petrochemical Corporation (國喬石油化學), LCY (李長榮化學), Linde LienHwa (聯華林德氣體), and Corning Taiwan. These companies will engage in business matchmaking and in-depth exchanges on ESG solutions and other areas of interest.
Santi Renewable Energy (三地能源) designed its exhibition area around the theme of "fishery and solar symbiosis." The company is showcasing samples of white shrimp and oysters from its Cigu District (七股) site in Tainan, addressing concerns about the coexistence of solar power and aquaculture. Santi Renewable Energy stated that this site, the largest of its kind in Taiwan, spans 320 hectares and integrates photovoltaic facilities with aquaculture ponds, demonstrating a viable model for the fusion of energy and aquaculture industries.
