TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Ministry of Culture (文化部) announced on Wednesday (Feb. 25) that cultural diplomacy ambassador a-We will serve as a cheerleading ambassador, launching the sticker set "a-We's Power! Taiwan's Baseball Magic." Available globally on LINE, the set aims to energize Taiwan's baseball fans during the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC).
Following the successful release of a-We's "Daily Edition" stickers in late January, this new collection features phrases like "Rolled a six!" and "Taiwan is strong." The Ministry noted that a-We's initial sticker set sparked lively discussions on social media in Taiwan and Japan. Some Japanese fans even purchased both the Taiwanese and Japanese versions, highlighting the mascot's appeal as a cultural exchange.
The latest sticker set features 16 animated designs incorporating elements of Taiwan's well-known baseball terms, such as "Strike him out" and "Home run." Additionally, a limited-edition sticker pack will be released alongside the LINE sticker. The Ministry plans to distribute 3,000 sticker packs for free on March 6 at the Tokyo venue during the "Taiwan-Japan Showdown."
